How to combine PDFs privately in the browser
PDFNova combines supported PDFs inside the browser and does not send their contents to a PDFNova application server. Here, “privately” describes that application boundary and the documented analytics rules; it is not a promise of absolute confidentiality or device security.
Combine the files in the intended sequence
Open Merge PDF, add at least two PDFs, and arrange the file list. The complete pages from the first file appear first, followed by each remaining file in the displayed order.
- Remove any file that should not be included.
- Choose Merge PDFs, download the result, and verify the page transitions.
Know what PDFNova records
Document bytes, filenames, extracted text, metadata, passwords, generated files, and user-entered PDF content are excluded from PDFNova analytics. Enabled product analytics can record tool interactions and numeric counts.
Review the environment around the tool
For sensitive work, consider the trustworthiness of the device, browser profile, installed extensions, network controls, and final download location. Those factors sit outside PDFNova’s application-server boundary.
Limitations
- Browser-local processing does not establish absolute confidentiality, security, legal compliance, or protection from software outside PDFNova.
- Encrypted PDFs that the underlying PDF library cannot open cannot be combined by this workflow.
