How to merge PDF files without uploading them to a server

PDFNova's Merge PDF tool processes supported documents inside your browser and does not send their contents to a PDFNova application server. Add the source files, arrange them in the required order, merge them, and inspect the downloaded result before replacing or distributing any original document.

Use Merge PDF

1. Prepare the source files

Keep an unchanged copy of every source PDF. Open Merge PDF and choose between two and ten files, with each file no larger than 100 MB.

The displayed file sequence becomes the output sequence, so place the cover or opening document first and appendices last.

  • Remove files that do not belong in the final document.
  • Use drag, keyboard, or arrow controls to correct the order.
  • Confirm that every intended source file appears exactly once.

2. Merge inside the browser

Choose Merge PDFs and wait for the browser-local workflow to finish. PDFNova copies the complete pages from each source file into one output without editing existing text or images on those pages.

Processing capacity still depends on the browser, device memory, PDF complexity, and the underlying PDF library. A file being within the published size limit does not guarantee that every device can process it.

3. Verify before sharing

Open the downloaded PDF and inspect the first and last page of each source section. Check the total page count, transitions between files, orientation, and any interactive content that matters to the task.

Keep the original files until the combined document has been reviewed. Browser-local processing reduces PDFNova application-server exposure, but it does not establish absolute confidentiality or control browser extensions, operating-system software, device management, or network tools.

Limitations

  • The workflow combines complete PDF pages; it does not edit existing text, images, links, or form fields inside a page.
  • 'Without uploading' describes PDFNova application-server handling, not every component of the user's device or network environment.
