PDFNova file, task, and browser-resource boundaries

PDFNova allows unlimited completed tasks and does not impose a page-count limit. Each file may be up to 100 MB and each task may contain up to ten files, subject to lower tool-specific file-count limits. Large or complex PDFs can still exceed browser memory, device resources, or underlying library capabilities.

Use tools without a daily completion cap

PDFNova does not count completed tasks in browser storage and does not block processing after a daily number of completions.

Check enforceable task boundaries

Before processing, PDFNova validates that each selected file is no larger than 100 MB and that the task stays within the applicable file-count limit.

  • The general maximum is ten files per task.
  • Single-file tools and other focused workflows may use a lower file-count limit.
  • Files above 100 MB are rejected before PDF inspection.

Understand the page-count boundary

PDFNova does not reject a task because it exceeds a fixed number of pages. Page count is still inspected where tools need it for previews, ranges, or page operations.

Plan large browser-local work

Keep an unchanged source copy, close unnecessary tabs, and use a capable device for large documents. If a browser struggles, split the work into smaller tasks even though PDFNova does not impose a page-count limit.

Limitations

  • Meeting the file-size and file-count limits does not guarantee that encrypted, malformed, unsupported, or highly complex PDFs can be processed.
  • Unlimited completed tasks and no PDFNova page-count limit do not mean unlimited browser memory, device capacity, or processing performance.
