How to extract selected pages from a PDF

Choose Selected pages in Split PDF and enter the pages you need, such as 1,3,5 or 2-4,8. PDFNova validates the selection and creates one PDF containing those pages in ascending source-page order.

Use Split PDF

Specify the pages to keep

Open Split PDF, add one source PDF, and choose Selected pages. Enter one-based page numbers separated by commas, with hyphens for continuous ranges.

  • Use 2,5,9 for separate pages.
  • Use 2-5,9 to combine a range and a separate page.
  • Select Split PDF after checking the entry.

Review the extracted document

Download the file whose name ends in selected-pages.pdf. Open it and verify the page count, sequence, and content against the source before treating it as a final extract.

Choose extraction rather than deletion

Extraction is useful when the wanted set is shorter or easier to list than the unwanted set. If the goal is instead to keep almost everything, manually selecting pages to delete may be clearer.

Limitations

  • Selected-page input cannot contain duplicates, descending ranges, zero, or numbers beyond the final page.
  • Pages are emitted in ascending source order; this mode is not a page-rearrangement tool.
